Maverick Door System Specifications

The 20-minute fire rated fiberglass door combined with a basic wood frame makes this unit perfect for:

• One and two family dwellings
• Low-rise multifamily dwellings, low-rise professional offices, libraries and low-rise motels
• Lighter use industrial buildings and factories, hotels, and retail sales buildings

Smooth White Fiberglass Door

Slab: Made of high compression-molded fiberglass to provide superior protection and durability. Fiberglass reinforced door skins won't dent or delaminate like steel. Deeper embossing panel design. Surfaces are easy to stain or paint, and easy to clean.

Internal Wood Lock Block: Full-length wood and steel reinforcing to prevent thermal and moisture bow. Accepts a full range of door locks and hardware, including multi-point.

Waterproof Composite Stiles & Rails: No exposed wood; sealed edges and corners. Will not absorb moisture and will not rot. Easy to machine, with stronger screw holding capability and better performance than wood stiles. Will not delaminate, warp, rot or splinter. Ideal for livestock facilities.

Size: 6'8" height only; 2'8", 2'10" and 3'0" widths.

Core: 100% CFC-free Polyurethane foam injected, for an excellent R rating. Environmentally friendly. Rigid core to provide dimensional stability. 6X more energy efficient than wood doors.

Slab Finishing: Pre-pigmented smooth white skin requires no painting, and will not yellow. Surface will accept paint.

Basic Wood Frame

Features: Primed, kiln-dried pine wood stiles and top rail, composite bottom rail.

Material: Prehung in primed wood frame with white weatherstrip, white corner pad, quality sill, vinyl shoe, and zinc ball bearing hinges.

Jamb Width: 4-9/16" (2x4) or 6-9/16" (2x6). Left hand inswing or right hand inswing application only.

Preparation: Default single drill; optional double drill.

Brickmould: 2” 180 step primed fingerjoint attached, with optional SnapBack nailing fins.

Nailing Fins: Madero's patented Snap-Back nailing fin incorporates a hinge-style design for installation flexibility. The nailing fin lays flat for ease of installation, without damaging composite brickmould, or snaps back for renovation projects.

Packaging: Blue corner protectors; Individually shrinkwrapped with installation instructions and screws included.

• 3'0" Width:   38-7/16" x 82-1/8"

Warranty: Five-year limited warranty on steel slab, contingent on painting all sides of door within 45 days of purchase. Five-year limited warranty on wood frame and components.

Energy Saving Low-E Glass

See infrared image below of two windows during winter conditions, as seen from the inside of a room. The window on the right has a low-e coating while the window on the left doesn't. Warmer temperatures indicate a better insulating window. The second window is cooler because it has a low-emissivity coating, or low-e, as it's known. It is an invisible layer of metal on the glass that acts as an insulator.
