Stain Finishes – Specifications

• Sample stain finishes may differ from actual product, due to natural variations within a given wood species
• Natural variations occur between light and dark shades of a single wood species
• Approximately 25% gloss with varnish or stain
• Door face thickness is 0.68 mm +/- 0.10 mm
• Meets or exceeds WDMA, sections 5 and 9 - AWS, and all other industry standards
• Custom colour blends and environmentally friendly water-based stains available

Core Construction – Specifications

There are eight core types available, with options for face veneers, hardboard or plastic laminate faces for interior use.

Solid composite particleboard: Great for everyday use where
no special requirements are needed.

• Density of 28-32 lbs per cubit foot
• Complies with CSA-0188 and ANSI A208-1 standards (LD-1/LD-2)
• Options: 20-minute fire rating, agrifibre, autonomy door

Agrifibre (UFF):

• Neutral FSC
• Options: 20-minute fire rating, autonomy door

Hollow core:

• 4-3/4" (120 mm) honeycomb (100% recycled)

1-ply LVL core:

• Structural composite lumber, 1/8" (3 mm) thick veneer, longitudinally laminated by hot pressing with type 1 structural glue, as per ASTM-D5456-93 (LVL FSC)
• LVL is FSC Certified (NAUF)
• Option: 20-minute fire rating

LSL core:

• Laminated strand lumber
• Complies with ANSI 1.S.4 (UFF)
• Option: 20-minute fire rating

Mineral core, 45 minute fire rating:

• Neutral pressue, low combustible mineral
• Density of 28-32 lbs per cubic foot
• Neutral FSC (NAUF)
• Option: positive pressure (PP), thickness up to 2-1/4"

Mineral core, 60 minute fire rating:

• Neutral pressue, low combustible mineral
• Density of 34-38 lbs per cubic foot
• Neutral FSC (NAUF)
• Option: positive pressure (PP), thickness up to 2"

Mineral core, 90 minute fire rating:

• Neutral pressue, non-combustible mineral
• Option: positive pressure (PP)

Radiology single lead sheeted:

• Solid particleboard
• Density of 45 lbs per cubic foot
• Complies with CSA-0188 and ANSI A208-1 standards
• One 1/32” (0.8 mm) or 1/16” (1.6 mm) lead sheet, pressure bonded to the centre, covering entire door surface
• Available NAUF/FSC
• Other lead sheet thicknesses upon request
• FIre rating not available

Radiology double lead sheeted:

• Solid particleboard
• Density of 28-32 lbs per cubic foot
• Complies with CSA-0188 or ANSI A208-1 standards (LD-1/LD-2)
• Two 1/32” (0.8 mm) or 1/16” (1.6 mm) lead sheets, pressure bonded between core and faces
• Available NAUF/FSC (LD-2)
• Other lead sheet thicknesses upon request
• FIre rating not available
