DW 22 Gauge Series Standard Drywall Frame Specifications

3-piece knock-down frame for installation in drywall partitions after the wall has been erected.

DW250 (2-1/2" wall thickness): Suitable for 1-5/8” Metal Studs with 1/2” Drywall each side.

DW350 (3-1/2" wall thickness): Suitable for 2-1/2” Metal or 2” x 3” Wood Studs with 1/2” Drywall each side.

DW450 (4-1/2" wall thickness): Suitable for 3-5/8” Metal or 2” x 4” Wood Studs with 1/2” Drywall each side.

Doors: For 1-3/8” non-bevelled Hollow Core Wood Doors or 1-3/8" Fiberglass Doors. Frames are sized to accommodate full-sized doors, in widths of 2-inch increments. Height available in 6'8". The nominal opening is DOOR WIDTH plus 3/16" and DOOR HEIGHT plus 3/4".

Sizes: Single Doors (2-hinge): 1'0" to 3'0" x 6'8"; Double Doors (4-hinge): 2'6", 2'8", 3'0", 4'0", 5'0", 6'0" x 6'8".

Single Opening: Hinge & strike jamb plus header

Double Opening: Pair of hinge jambs plus header

Rough Opening:
Width: Door Width plus 2"
Height: Door Height plus 1-1/4"

Frame Material: 22 gauge A40 galvanized steel. Passivated for easy paint application.

Hinge Preparation: Prepared for and supplied with 1 pair 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” 5/8" radius C15 Nickel Hinges. Screws are included for attaching the hinges to both the frame and the wood door.

Strike Preparation: Standard preparation is A.S.A. A115.3 (1-1/8" x 2-3/4"). Available to accommodate door preparation of 40" O/C or 44" O/C. Specify when ordering.

Strike Reinforcement: 1-1/8" x 2-3/4" T-Strike.

Silencers: Drilled for 3 single stud rubber bumpers.

Anchors: Welded in tension anchor to permit easy adjustment and anchoring of frame.

Finishing: Passivated for easy paint application.
