Durulite® Standard - Heavy Duty Impact Traffic Door Specifications

Durulite Standard Doors are designed as a multi-purpose lightweight door, yet they are tough enough to take the abuse of personnel, stock carts and motorized pallet jacks. Like the Durulite Industrial, it’s strength lies in its rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene construction. Standard tests for impact resistance indicates that cross-linked polyethylene is 5 times more puncture resistant and 3 times more flexible than ABS material. The door is designed to comply with all USDA sanitation requirements and was tested and certified by NSF. The panel is corrosion resistant, making it ideal for washdown applications as it has no gaps or joint seams.

Door Panel – Lightweight, weighing only 2.5 pounds per square foot, is easy to open, operates smoothly and allows for safe passage of personnel and damage free equipment. The overall panel thickness is 1-7/8”, the skin thickness is 1/8” thick and the door can be sized up to a 8’ x 9’. Cross-linked polyethylene outer skin retains its properties to –40°F.

Window – 1/8” thick polycarbonate window with black frame is recessed a minimum of 1/8” from the face of the panel to protect the window’s surface from abrasion caused by passing loads.

Internal Reinforcement – The leading and back edge of door are internally reinforced with tubular steel to ensure flatness and strengthen the door panel.

Gasketing – USDA accepted durable gasketing is factory applied without the use of metal strips or fasteners, making it easy to replace in the field.

Insulated Core – The foamed-in-place Non-CFC urethane core (permanently bonded to the outer surface) does not break down when impacted, provides noise control and provides excellent insulation with an R factor of 10.83.

Upper Hinge – Doubleacting V-Cam hinging system operates smoothly and is virtually maintenance free with its permanently lubricated needle bearing roller assembly. Optional stainless steel V-Cam is available.

Bottom Hinge – For additional strength and durability the hinge is designed with pillow block constructed of zinc plated ductile iron (stainless steel is optional) with a UHMW sleeve and solid cast aluminum lower hinge adapter. Plus the lower hinge adapter has a provision for mounting an optional spring assist.

Durulite® Industrial - Ultra Heavy Duty Impact Traffic Door Specifications

The Durulite Industrial Door is the toughest traffic door in the industry. It is known for its ruggedness, ease of maintenance and long service life. This versatile door is capable of filling the needs of a wide variety of applications. From the daily rigors of forklift traffic, to refrigerated applications, to USDA and washdown applications. The strength of the Durulite Industrial is due to its rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene construction. Standard tests for impact resistance indicates that cross-linked polyethylene is 5 times more puncture resistant and 3 times more flexible than ABS material. The corrosion resistant panel is ideal for washdown applications as it has no gaps or joint seams.

Durulite® Retailer - Medium Duty Impact Traffic Door Specifications

Durulite Retailer Doors are constructed with rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene, making them extremely durable and capable of withstanding the wear and tear associated with sales-to-back room and walk-in cooler openings in high volume retail establishments. Known for their long-term value, they are ideal for use in supermarkets, retail establishments, institutions, restaurants and food service operations as they provide a visual separation, sound barrier and thermal separation. The door is designed to comply with all USDA sanitation requirements and was tested and certified by NSF.

Door Panel – Lightweight, opens easily and closes every time. Overall panel thickness is 1-1/2”, skin thickness is 1/8” and the door can be sized up to 8’ x 10’. Cross-linked polyethylene outer skin retains its properties to –40°F.

Window – Large polycarbonate windows are virtually scratch resistant.

Gasketing – Replaceable perimeter edge gasketing is used to reduce energy flow between environments. The door comes standard with gasket along the leading, back and bottom edges. Partially gasketed doors are available.

Internal Reinforcement – A 1” diameter hinge post is molded in the door and runs the full length of the panel. The hinge post sets into the jamb guard for structural stability and strength. The leading edge is reinforced with an aluminum extrusion adding additional structural support.

Insulated Core – High density, Non-CFC urethane core is foamed-in-place to insure a tenacious bond between the core and outer skin, providing sound abatement and excellent thermal separation with an R factor of 9.86.

Upper Hinge – Patented fully composite V-Cam roller assembly resists corrosion and rust and can travel up to 120° in each direction.

Lower Hinge Assembly – The lower hinge assembly holds the lower hinge post in position, preventing horizontal movement of the door. It also serves as a lower hinge guard, protecting the lower hinge post from impact damage.

Durulite Retailer XHD - High Usage and Washdown Applications

Constructed with rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene, impact absorbing Non-CFC urethane foam core, and full height aluminum back spine, the Duruilte Retailer XHD is exceptionally durable in high volume retail establishments. The Retailer XHD corrosion resistant panel is ideal for high moisture or regular washdown applications. The door panel has no gaps, joints or seams, and offers corrosion resistant hardware including composite V-Cams, stainless steel rollers and stainless steel lower hinge guards as standard components. Tthe Retailer XHD is tough enough to withstand the abuse of personnel, carts, manual and motorized pallet jacks and occasional low speed forklift traffic. This heavy duty door is design to comply with all USDA sanitation requirements.

Door Panel – Durulite doors are known for their long-term value and durability. Overall panel thickness is 1-1/2” and rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene skin is 1/8” thick. The door panels are foamed-in-place with Non-CFC urethane core to ensure  tenacious bond between the core and the outer skin.

Lower Hinge Guard & Back Spine – Heavy duty lower hinge guard assembly protects the door panel from impact while acting as a positive hinge mount. Standard stainless steel construction eliminates corrosion problems. A heavy duty aluminum back spine with powder coat finish adds additional strength and ensures panel rigidity.

Insulated Core – High density, Non-CFC urethane core is foamed-in-place to insure a tenacious bond between the core and outer skin, providing sound abatement and excellent thermal separation with an R factor of 9.86.

Upper Hinge & Roller Assembly – Patented composite V-Cam hinge system can travel 120° in each direction and is mounted to a stainless steel base plate. The upper aluminum roller assembly has stainless steel bearings for years of service with minimal maintenance.

Chase Durulite Postal Door

The Durulite Model 200 Postal Series door is designed to meet the stringent security requirements of the United States Postal Service and complies with all RE-5 security guidelines.

CONSTRUCTION

Door Panel - The ¼” thick monolithically formed outer shell is rotationally molded from Cross-Linked High Density Polyethylene (X-LINK HDPE). This material is five times stronger than ABS and offers maximum durability and impact resistance. The Cross-Linked High Density Polyethylene material maintains its properties to –40°F. Overall panel thickness is 1-7/8”.

Insulated Core – The door panel core is foamed in place CFC-Free urethane foam which permanently bonds to the inner surface of the door panel. This ensures that the foam will not break down when the door is impacted. The CFC-Free foam core provides excellent insulation (R Factor of 10.83) and sound attenuation properties.

Internal Reinforcement – Upper V-Cam Hinge System, lower hinge pillow block construction with UHMW sleeve and solid cast aluminum adapter.

High Density Polyethylene Spring Bumpers - 38” High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) spring bumpers protect the door panel from impact. These bumpers feature a 4” teardrop projection that compresses to absorb the energy created by impact from carts and man-ridden vehicles. The bumper them “springs” back to its original position.

Full Perimeter Gasketing - Durable gasketing is factory applied without the use of metal strips or fasteners, making it easy to replace in the field. Frame mounted header seals are supplied to seal the top of the door.

Upper Hinge System - Solid cast aluminum Upper Hinge Post and a zinc-plated ductile iron V-Cam with UHMW sleeve for smooth, reliable operation. The roller assembly features a permanently lubricated needle bearing for durability and minimal maintenance. 

Bottom Hinge - Solid cast aluminum lower hinge post rides in heavy duty lower pillow block with UHMW sleeve for smooth, reliable operation. The lower hinge post can accommodate our optional spring assist for high draft applications.

Proline™ Model 600-SEC - Security/Postal Impact Door Specifications

Proline™ doors can be custom manufactured to fit virtually any opening size. The panel is constructed with stainless steel, galvanized, aluminum or different color ABS face sheets on each side to control the traffic flow or match the building décor. RE-5 approved.

Patented 250º V-Cam hinging system provides a 125º swing in both directions for maximum clearance.

Constructed with 3/4" wood core for durability.

2" lock sleeve accepts cables or chains for locking.

9” lower hinge guard protects the jamb and lower hinge from passing loads.

The ultimate in door protection, the rotationally molded high-impact teardrop bumpers act as a shock absorber, extending the life of the door.

LWP-6 Aluminum Traffic Door

The Eliason® LWP-6 traffic door is a lightweight, economical solution where visual separation is desired between kitchen and dining areas, customer service and back room, or sales floor and stockroom. The door body is constructed of a special alloy .063” thick tempered aluminum that creates a durable door with just the right amount of flexibility. The LWP-6 comes standard on both sides with a decorative high pressure laminate (HPL) available in a virtually unlimited choice of colors and patterns. Standard 12” high stainless steel base plates are located on both sides. Standard vision panels are 9” x 14” set in black rubber molding. Various window sizes and shapes, impact plates, push plates and other options are also available. The LWP-6 operates on the Eliason Easy Swing Hinge®.
